There are few locations as exclusive and desirable as Carie's Cove, a charming oceanfront cottage located on Schooner Head Road, just a few hundred yards from Acadia National Park. This distinctive property features deep sea oceanfrontage and a rock beach in a private, sheltered cove. The open ocean views are spectacular and include glimpses of fishing boats, tour boats and ocean liners. Carie's Cove is near the end of Schooner Head Road, being among just a few properties with these exceptional views and proximity to Sand Beach in Acadia National Park (just a 20 minute walk), providing a truly memorable vacation destination for a large family or two families.
The 4 bedroom cottage has a simple design. On the lower level are the bedrooms: a master bedroom with a king bed and master full bath, fireplace and oceanview; 2 queen bedrooms (one is accessed through the twins room), and a twins room featuring two daybeds with trundle beds, for a total of 4 twin beds. Also on the lower level are two more bathrooms (with showers). Maximum sleeping capacity is 10. There is also a family room on this lower level.
The upper level is a wonderful great room, featuring a living room with a gorgeous working fireplace, spacious kitchen, dining area. There is a nice deck off the livingroom with a gas BBQ grill and seating.

The grounds feature a few pathways and a lovely lawn with a gazebo, and there are stairs that take you down to the wonderful stone beach. You can swim, sunbathe, look for seaglass, and simply take in the million dollar views and fresh salt air!
Carie's Cove is a 45 minute walk into downtown Bar Harbor (the trail that runs from Bar Harbor to Sand Beach runs past the head of the driveway along Schooner Head Road). There is a pathway that runs by the property, that goes from Sand Beach, in Acadia National Park, into town. From the property you are a short distance (a few hundred yards) to the Ocean Drive/Park Loop Road in Acadia. You can walk or ride your bike to Sand Beach and Thunderhole, as well as the Schooner Head parking lot
